PENGGUNAAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KARAKTER DAN HASIL BELAJAR PADA MUATAN IPA DI KELAS 5 SDN 003 SAMARINDA

The background of this research is how project-based learning can improve the learning process so that it has an impact on learning outcomes and with this model it is hoped that it can foster the character of responsibility, independence and confidence in students. This research is of the type of action research or action research, the subject of the study is all grade 5 students at SDN 003 Samarinda. This research was carried out during a second cycle with 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection techniques used are evaluation tests, observations and documentation. The results showed that the character possessed by students such as self-confidence, responsibility and independence can have an impact on improving learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, the average score of learning outcomes in the cognitive aspects of students was only 72.28 with a percentage of completion of 57.14%. Then, slowly the average score of students increased in the first cycle to 79.82 with a percentage of completion of 74.28%. Then, in cycle II, the average score of student learning outcomes increased again to 83.71 with a percentage of 85.71%. Similarly, student learning outcomes in the psychomotor aspect, where in the first cycle the average score was 74.82 with a percentage of completion of 60%, then in cycle II it increased to 81.51 with a percentage of completion of 82.85%.
